I haven't returned to campus in more than a decade, but I'll forever associate August with back-to-school season. In my mind, new beginnings and organization go hand in hand, so now seems like the ideal time to share the storage solutions I swear by, as well as versatile finds I'm eager to test out. As usual, you can find plenty of affordable finds at Amazon, Walmart, and Target, like these genius hooks that keep your bag off of the floor of your car. I'm currently shopping for a bench, and this under-$200 boucle option from Target tops my wishlist because of its luxe look and hidden storage. These cubbies are also ingenious, especially for dorm rooms, as they immediately create extra vertical storage space and can be outfitted with cute baskets. Speaking of baskets, a woven one makes for great blanket storage in family rooms and bedrooms, and I'm partial to this $24 Better Homes & Gardens style from Walmart. Finding creative ways to declutter drawers and closets is key to creating valuable space in your home. This plastic bag organizer from Walmart is easier to keep organized than cardboard boxes that can move around, and you can dream up your own container configurations with this 25-piece drawer organizer set from Amazon. I'm also a big fan of fabric clothing and shoe storage bags, including this pack of six foldable bins and this hanging shoe organizer that holds at least eight pairs. And nearly 2,100 Walmart shoppers say you'll love these velvet hangers that come in a pack of 100 for just $0.28 each. |
